CliffordChanceConnect (CCConnect) is an on-line service that allows clients to communicate with Clifford Chance in a secure fashion, and provides a collaborative environment for deals, advisory matters and cases.

Security of the information on CCConnect is critical to the relationship of trust that exists between Clifford Chance and its clients. Effective security relies on the ability to make an appropriate and timely response if a suspected security incident is detected.

Charteris' Role

Clifford Chance engaged Charteris to develop Incident Response Plans for CCConnect. Charteris ensured that the plans encompass the roles of all parties involved in keeping CCConnect secure; the plans address the full incident lifecycle, from detection and validation of an incident, through to containment, investigation and recovery.

Solution

Through Charteris work, the client now has a detailed plan for the protection of CCConnect, whether security is threatened by a skilled attacker or by simple user error.
