Greenwich Council

Situation

The Council required assistance to analyse the content of several legacy systems to determine which data should be migrated to the new Case Management system, namely Frameworki.

Charteris provided technical consultants who analysed the structure and content of existing systems, with minimal documentation available.

Solution

A copy of the systems and data were provided on hard drives. With minimal input from the Council, our consultants:

  • Determined the content of the systems and reported back in a clear way.
  • Determined the quality of the data in the legacy systems and made recommendations as to the approach for cleaning the data.
  • Determined the suitability of individual data items to be migrated.
  • Reported on the optimum strategy for data migration.
  • Produced detailed mapping documents.
  • Constructed the extract programs for a subset of systems, to enable the data to be loaded.

David Plumb, the project manager, stated, "I have found Charteris to be an easy company to work with and value the contribution they have made to the London Borough of Greenwich."
